Gridio — a vertical SaaS experiment for seasonal rental operators

Gridio is the first owned SaaS surface around HookVenture: a system for seasonal equipment rental businesses that replaces notebooks, Messenger and Excel with one dashboard for bookings, fleet availability, payments and customer history.

Product thesis

Why this project exists

Seasonal rental operators lose time and revenue when bookings, fleet status, payments and customer context are split across phone calls, messages, notebooks and spreadsheets. Gridio tests whether a focused operational dashboard can remove that chaos for small rental teams.

Next milestone

Close the first pilot cohort, validate the dashboard workflow and decide what should become the self-serve version.

SaaS landing role

The landing page at gridio.app explains the rental problem, presents the product direction and collects demo requests for the pilot phase.

Why this venture exists

Gridio started from a simple operational problem: in peak season, rental teams often manage availability through phone calls, Messenger, WhatsApp, notebooks and spreadsheets at the same time. That creates double bookings, slow answers and constant dependency on the owner.

What the product is testing

Gridio tests whether small rental operators can run the season from one lightweight dashboard: reservations, fleet status, payments, customer history, service status and a public booking flow that lets customers reserve equipment without calling.

What HookVenture learns from it

For HookVenture, Gridio is a real product surface for learning vertical SaaS: customer discovery, seasonal operations, booking logic, pricing, self-serve flows, team workflows and the difference between a useful dashboard and a heavy ERP.
